Save the Date: Grandparents Day at Deerwood! 

We are so excited to celebrate our wonderful grandparents on Monday, September 5th during student lunch times!

Grandparents are invited to bring lunch and join their grandchildren during their scheduled lunch period. This is a special opportunity to share a meal, make memories, and be part of your grandchild’s school day.

📌 Important Details:

• To help things run smoothly, we kindly ask that you RSVP (coming soon!).

• In order to save time on event day, please stop by Deerwood before September 5th to have your identification scanned.

💙 All grandparents are also warmly invited to partner with Deerwood by joining the PTA and continuing to support our school community.

We can’t wait to see our halls filled with the love and wisdom of grandparents. Mark your calendars and join us for this special day!

Bring the whole family and join us for a fun morning at the Whata Watch D.O.G.S. Car Show! This is a great chance to:

• Learn more about Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students)
• Find out how you can get involved on campus
• Enjoy a delicious Whataburger breakfast taco (provided by the PTA!)
• Kids can have fun with craft activities
• REGISTER A CAR: register now!

Help us make every celebration special! The Student Activity Fee covers everything your child needs to enjoy memorable classroom parties and activities throughout the year—including:

5th Grade… Let’s Celebrate in Style!

At Deerwood, 5th grade is a year full of fun, memories, and milestone moments—and we’ve got big plans to make it unforgettable!

To help cover all the special events and celebrations, each 5th grade student is asked to contribute $60.

This includes:

💵 $20 Student Activity Fee
Supports teacher-requested supplies, classroom party food and games, party favors, and STAAR snacks during testing days.

🎊 $40 Celebration Fund
Covers exciting 5th grade events like:
• The Manners Luncheon
• End-of-Year Pool Party
• Bowling Party
• And your student’s 5th Grade T-Shirt
